This intervention was a critical study of the New Order Mass (i.e., the Novus Ordo Mass).

According to Cardinals Ottaviani and Bacci, in their study and letter to the Pope, the New Mass “teems with insinuations or manifest errors against the integrity of the Catholic Faith.”

“Here the [Protestant] Lord’s Supper and the [Catholic] Mass are merged into one … In the present ecumenical context, it is as if neither Luther nor the Council of Trent ever happened.” (Who Shall Ascend, p. 534)

In this video (starting at the 18:28 mark), Father Jenkins explains how “the implementation of the Novus Ordo was held up for a year.” He also, clearly, states how “there is only one victim who could offer himself in reparation for the sins of mankind and that is Our Lord, Jesus Christ, on the cross.”
